Free 3MF Repair Tool
Slicer warning you about non-manifold edges or holes? Drop your 3MF here. See what's broken in each object, fix it, and download a clean 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, or PrusaSlicer. Everything runs in your browser.
Max file size: 100MB

Fix the model, keep the plate layout
To repair a 3MF file, drop it into the free 3MF repair tool above. It finds holes, non-manifold edges, and broken triangles in each object, fixes what it safely can, and gives you a clean 3MF to reopen in your slicer. Your 3MF file never leaves your device.
Closed surfaces slice cleanly
Your slicer needs every edge of a surface shared by exactly two triangles. An edge used once is a hole; an edge used three times is a tangle.
What gets fixed, and what stays out
You see the counts for the whole plate before and after repair.
- merges duplicate points
- removes zero-area triangles
- turns flipped faces
- closes small holes
- painted colors
- filament assignments
- slicer project settings
- modifier and negative parts
Check, repair, re-slice
Treat the result as a cleaned mesh, then confirm it in your slicer.
How to repair a 3MF file
Drop in your 3MF
Save or export the project from Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, or PrusaSlicer, then drop the .3mf file here. Each object is read with its place on the plate and converted to millimeters.
Read the diagnosis
Before anything changes, you see how many open edges, non-manifold edges, zero-area triangles, and duplicate points your objects contain, added up across the plate.
Repair and download
Click Repair 3MF. Each object is fixed on its own, the preview updates, and you download a repaired 3MF that opens straight back in your slicer.
What 3MF repair fixes, and what it leaves alone
3.1Why a 3MF file shows mesh errorsA 3MF file is a zipped package, not a single mesh.
A 3MF file is a zipped package, not a single mesh. Inside it, your slicer stores each object, where it sits on the plate, the units, and often your print settings. The errors your slicer reports live in the mesh of one or more of those objects. They usually come from a CAD export with loose seams, a scan or AI-generated model with small gaps, or two parts pushed together until their surfaces overlap. Your slicer can often print around small gaps, but it warns you because it can't tell for sure which side of a surface is solid. That doubt shows up as missing walls, odd infill, or layers that stop halfway.
3.2How this 3MF repair handles a full plateEach object on your plate, and each part inside it, is checked and repaired on its own, so parts that touch are never glued together.
Each object on your plate, and each part inside it, is checked and repaired on its own, so parts that touch are never glued together. It is then written back as its own object in the downloaded file, in the same position. Duplicate points are merged, zero-area triangles are removed, flipped faces are turned the right way, and small holes — up to 32 edges around the rim — are closed automatically. Files saved in inches or centimeters are converted, so the repaired file is always in millimeters. You see the counts before and after, so you know what changed instead of trusting a green check mark.
3.3What you give up in the repaired fileAfter a 3MF repair, the download holds clean geometry, not your whole project.
After a 3MF repair, the download holds clean geometry, not your whole project. Painted colors, filament assignments, and slicer project settings are not kept, and the tool warns you when your file contains them. Modifier and negative parts are left out too, so a cut-out made by a negative part is not applied. If those settings matter, keep your original project: open the repaired 3MF, then copy your settings across or repaint the few areas you need. Large holes are reported rather than patched, because a flat patch over a big gap would change the shape you designed.
3.4When a browser 3MF repair is the right callUse it when your slicer flags non-manifold edges on a model you downloaded, when a shared project slices with gaps, or when the slicer on your computer has no repair option.
Use it when your slicer flags non-manifold edges on a model you downloaded, when a shared project slices with gaps, or when the slicer on your computer has no repair option. It runs in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, or a Chromebook, with no plugin or sign-up. If your model is a single STL rather than a 3MF project, the STL repair tool gives you the same diagnosis for one mesh.
3MF repair FAQ
Answers about slicer errors, colors, Macs, privacy, and holes that stay open.
How do I fix a 3MF file that my slicer says has errors?
Drop the file into the tool at the top of this page. It shows which errors each object has, then Repair 3MF fixes open edges, flipped faces, zero-area triangles, and small holes. Download the result and reopen it in your slicer.
Will I lose my colors and print settings?
Yes, in the repaired file. Colors, filament choices, and project settings stay in your original 3MF, and you get a warning when the file had them. Keep the original project and copy the settings across after repair.
My slicer's Fix Model option only works on Windows. Can I repair a 3MF on a Mac?
Yes. This tool runs in your browser, so it works the same on a Mac, a Linux machine, or a Chromebook. There is nothing to install.
Is my 3MF file uploaded anywhere?
No. Reading, checking, repair, and export all happen in your browser tab. The file stays on your computer the whole time.
Why are some holes still open after repair?
Only small holes are closed automatically. Larger gaps are counted and reported, because filling them with a flat patch could change the shape. Fix those in a modeling tool or re-export the part.
Should I repair the 3MF or convert it to STL first?
Repair the 3MF directly when your plate has several objects, since each one is fixed in place and stays separate. Convert to STL only if another tool in your workflow needs a single STL mesh.
How large can my 3MF file be?
Files up to 100MB work. Very dense models with millions of triangles can take several seconds to read, depending on your computer.
