Selling 3D prints?Your "cost per item" is the number most sellers guess wrong. Calculate it from material, power, wear and failure rate first.Open the 3D print cost calculatorMost fee math is quietly wrong. This one is verified.
We tested the top-ranking calculators with the same order. Three of four got at least one fee wrong.
Every fee, correct base
The 6.5% transaction fee applies to your item price plus shipping — several popular calculators quietly apply it to the item alone and understate your fees. This one uses the full order total, matching how Etsy actually bills.
64 countries, sourced rates
Payment processing rates for 64 countries and regulatory operating fees for 9, taken from Etsy's official fee pages and labeled with the verification date.
Offsite Ads done right
Model both the 15% and the discounted 12% tier, applied to the correct base and capped at $100 per order. No other free calculator we tested handles the cap.
Built for product sellers
Quantity-aware listing fees, real shipping costs on your side, and a one-click path to calculate your true production cost if you sell 3D prints. It is the only Etsy fee calculator built alongside a production-cost tool.
Three inputs to the truth
Enter your sale
Start from the prefilled example or type your own item price, shipping and cost per item. Pick your country so processing and regulatory rates match your bank account location.
Watch fees update live
Every fee line recalculates as you type — no button, no sign-up. Open Advanced to model Offsite Ads at 12% or 15%, or add a discount.
Price with confidence
Read your profit, margin and break-even price. Copy the summary for your notes, or share a link that reopens the calculator with your exact numbers.
Anatomy of a $30 order
A $25 item with $5 shipping, sold by a US seller. Five fee types can touch it — here is every one, on its real base, at the official rate.
An Etsy fee calculator shows what Etsy actually charges on a sale before you price your product. On a $25 item with $5 shipping, a US seller pays $3.30 — a $0.20 listing fee, 6.5% transaction fee and 3% + $0.25 payment processing — keeping $26.70 before product costs. This tool itemizes every fee, including Offsite Ads and country-specific charges, using Etsy's official published rates.

If a buyer purchases three of the same item in one order, you pay the original $0.20 plus two $0.20 renewal fees. That is why this calculator multiplies the listing fee by quantity — a detail most fee tools skip, and one that matters for multi-item orders with thin margins.

Charging $5 shipping on a $25 item means the fee is 6.5% of $30, or $1.95 — not $1.63.

This calculator carries the full 64-country table, so switching your country updates the math instantly. If you also want the production side of your pricing, our 3D print cost calculator breaks down material, power and machine wear the same way.

Etsy revised several of these rates in June 2026 — France more than doubled to 1.14% — which is why every rate here carries a verification date instead of asking you to trust an old blog post.

The cap changes real decisions on high-priced orders: a $2,000 sale owes $100, not $300. Toggle the fee in Advanced and this Etsy fee calculator shows both tiers against your numbers.

How much does Etsy take from a sale?
For a US seller, Etsy takes a $0.20 listing fee, 6.5% of the order total as a transaction fee, and 3% + $0.25 as payment processing — about 9.5% to 14% of a typical order, before any advertising fees. All three apply to the item price plus shipping you charge. This Etsy fee calculator itemizes each line for your exact numbers instead of quoting an average.
Do Etsy fees apply to shipping charges?
Yes. The 6.5% transaction fee and the payment processing percentage both apply to the shipping amount you charge the buyer, not just the item price. Free-shipping listings avoid the fee on shipping only because the shipping cost is built into the item price — the total fee load is usually similar.
How do Offsite Ads fees work, and is there a cap?
If your shop made under $10,000 on Etsy in the past 365 days, an order attributed to an Offsite Ad costs 15% of the order total; at $10,000 or more the rate drops to 12% and the ads become mandatory. Either way the fee is capped at $100 per order. Use the Advanced toggle to model your tier.
Are these rates current, and where do they come from?
Every rate in this calculator comes from Etsy's official fee schedule and help pages — including the 64-country payment processing table and the 9-country regulatory operating fees — and the tool shows the date they were last verified. Etsy does change rates: several regulatory fees were revised in June 2026, which is exactly why we label the verification date.
What is the difference between my deposit and my profit?
Your deposit is the order revenue minus Etsy's fees — what actually lands in your payment account. Your profit also subtracts your own costs: making the item, postage and packaging. A healthy deposit can still hide a loss if your production cost is guessed too low, so this calculator asks for both sides.
I sell 3D printed items — how do I get my cost per item right?
Work out the production cost first: filament or resin, electricity, machine depreciation, labor and an expected failure rate. Our free 3D print cost calculator computes that per-unit number with the same no-sign-up approach; enter the result here as your cost per item and the Etsy fee calculator completes the picture from sale price to real profit.
